Northeast Columbia Real Estate
Northeast Columbia is one of Columbia’s largest suburban areas. Situated northeast of downtown Columbia, this area encompasses both Richland and Kershaw counties and offers well-established neighborhoods as well as new construction. Neighborhoods run the gamut in price with something for everyone. Country Club lifestyles are popular in the Northeast, and golf courses and swim and tennis clubs abound. Northeast Columbia offers dozen upon dozens of neighborhoods in all price ranges. This area of Columbia now stretches well into Kershaw county and offers quick access to Interstate 77 and I 20. Just over 400,000 now live in all areas of Richland County and Kershaw County current population is under 70,000.
Also in the northeast of downtown is Blythewood , a traditional rural area that is quickly growing with both residential and commercial development. This area retains thus far a slower pace with traffic issues not really being a problem. New construction such as Cobblestone Park offers a country club lifestyle while quiet subdivisions with plenty of trees and elbow room are easy to find.
